Boyd T. Gardner conducts in-depth research on federal priorities advanced by the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education, National Science Foundation, and congressional committees relevant to the work of Lewis-Burke client organizations. In addition, he is one of the firm’s researchers on federal higher education policy.
Prior to joining Lewis-Burke, Mr. Gardner both supervised and conducted original research on behalf of university clients at the Education Advisory Board (EAB), where he assisted clients with a wide range of operational priorities ranging from advancement to campus safety and student affairs. At EAB, he developed a particular expertise in university budget models, government relations, and operational efficiency initiatives.
A native of Washington, DC, Mr. Gardner also employs his extensive knowledge of political stakeholders and processes developed through internships with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and his work as a fundraising consultant for Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) to help firm clients achieve federal affairs priorities.
Mr. Gardner graduated with departmental honors from Vassar College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
