Lauren Broccoli brings a unique background to Lewis-Burke that combines federal communications, legislative and political expertise. Additionally, her experience clerking for the Governor of Rhode Island enhances Lewis-Burke’s capabilities at the intersection of federal and state policy, and political communications.
Prior to joining Lewis-Burke, Lauren served in the office of Congressman James Langevin as both press aide and a congressional aide. In these roles, she not only gained insight into policy development and the legislative process but also became adept at distilling and communicating complex legislative issues. Her experience includes work on a broad range of issues including: education policy, appropriations, cybersecurity, agriculture and healthcare. While on Capitol Hill, she also contributed to innovative communications strategies to enhance the Congressman’s policy profile and constituent interactions.
A trained lawyer, Lauren augments Lewis-Burke’s reputation for detailed regulatory and policy analysis. Lauren served as clerk to Governor Lincoln Chaffee (RI), where she combined her legal, communications and policy knowledge to assist the Governor’s Executive Legal Counsel. Lauren also brings political insight fostered through work on a U.S. Senate campaign.
Lauren studied communications with a concentration in public relations at Boston University. She received her Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University Law and was admitted to the New York State Bar. Keeping contact with her home state, Lauren serves on the executive board for the State Society of Rhode Island.
