Franklyn E. Steinberg joined Lewis-Burke Associates in 2008.  His diverse issue portfolio includes federal appropriations, energy, environment, international education, and agriculture. Working to advance the strategic objectives of Lewis-Burke clients on Capitol Hill and at agencies including the Department of Energy, United States Agency for International Development, Department of State, Department of Justice, United States Department of Agriculture, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Frank relies on his ability to forge strong working relationships and knowledge of the legislative process to serve as an effective liaison between clients and Federal officials.

Frank works closely with Lewis-Burke clients to develop institutional legislative priorities and devise strategies for how best to leverage federal opportunities to increase the institution’s visibility and influence in Washington. In addition to his efforts to secure federal appropriations on behalf of institutions of higher education, Frank closely monitors federal climate and energy legislation and is an active participant in advocacy coalitions seeking to promote the roles of the higher education and research communities in these issues.

Prior to joining Lewis-Burke, Mr. Steinberg gained insight into the workings of Congress, public policy and government relations through his work for Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana.

Mr. Steinberg graduated cum laude from Denison University in Granville, Ohio and is a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha honorary society.
