Lewis-Burke Associates LLC, a highly respected Washington DC lobbying and consulting firm specializing in higher education and science issues is seeking qualified applicants for a legislative research assistant position. The firm represents some of the largest public and private research universities and science organizations in the US. Specific duties to include substantive issue research on matters of interest to firm’s clients, attending congressional hearings and briefings, scheduling, preparing meeting briefs, drafting newsletters, and other administrative support. Position requires excellent writing skills, articulate verbal communication, attention to detail and an ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A college degree (preferably in political science, public policy or science field) is required. Previous Hill, federal agency or legislative affairs experience is a plus.
