Sarah Spreitzer Named APLU Council on Government Affairs Co-Chair
In 2010, Sarah Spreitzer began a year-long term as Co-Chair for the Council on Government Affairs (CGA) for the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU). APLU is a national higher education association based in Washington DC which represents 218 state universities, land-grant institutions, and state university systems.
Nominated and elected by her fellow CGA members, Sarah is charged with working with the APLU Congressional and Government Affairs staff to help lead the CGA advocacy strategy regarding federal issues of interest to higher education. In this role Sarah also acts as the CGA liaison to the APLU Board of Directors and helps to communicate CGA priorities to the larger APLU community. Previously, Sarah served on the CGA Executive Committee as Secretary.
