Virginia Neale builds upon her experience as a former congressional staffer to provide clients with strategic guidance in navigating the legislative process. She supports the firm’s work on innovation and technology transfer, the Department of Commerce, the National Institutes of Health, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and assists clients in navigating the federal appropriations process.
Prior to joining Lewis-Burke Ms. Neale served as a Legislative Assistant for Florida Congressman Ron Klein where she managed several major policy areas including science and technology, education, health care, social security, telecommunications, small business issues, and women’s rights. Her work on specific legislation included the Higher Education Opportunity Act, the America COMPETES Act, the Solar Technology Roadmap Act, and the NASA Reauthorization of 2010. She has experience working with House committees, congressional leadership and federal agencies, including the Department of Education, the Department of Commerce, the National Institutes of Health, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to advocate for defined legislative priorities. Ms. Neale’s prior Capitol Hill experience includes positions in the office of Congressman Robert Wexler and the House Committee on Science.
Ms. Neale graduated magna cum laude from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
